21/03/2019 - As part of ongoing efforts to deepen longstanding ties between the OECD and Argentina, the OECD will hold high-level events in Buenos Aires on Wednesday 27 March to launch two new reports.

The Economic Survey of Argentina analyses the factors that pushed the country into deep recession, as well as the policies needed to restore confidence and put the economy back on track. The Survey discusses actions to build solid macroeconomic foundations, improve governance, create jobs and ensure that future growth is greener and benefits all Argentinians. A special chapter in the Survey discusses measures for enhancing trade and fostering greater integration into the world economy.

The Survey will be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 20:00 CET (19:00 GMT/16:00 local time) on Wednesday 27 March for immediate release.

Alvaro Pereira, head of the country studies division in the OECD Economics Dept., will present the Survey during a press conference in Buenos Aires with Argentina’s Minister of Treasury Nicolás Dujovne starting at 16:00 local time, at the Finance Ministry (Hipólito Yrigoyen 250, Buenos Aires).

OECD Integrity Review of Argentina: Achieving systemic and sustained change

The OECD Integrity Review of Argentina assesses recent efforts to transform Argentina’s integrity framework from isolated initiatives into a coherent whole-of-society integrity system. The Review presents concrete actions for developing an integrity strategy to sustain current reforms. It also provides insights into how to operationalise a risk management approach to corruption and upgrade the internal audit function within government. The Review assesses the government decision-making process and provides options for increasing its transparency and integrity for more accountable and equitable policies.

Marcos Bonturi, Director of the OECD Public Governance directorate, will present the Review during a press conference in Buenos Aires with Fernando Sánchez, Secretary of the Secretariat for Institutional Strengthening, Executive Office of the Cabinet of Ministers, and Laura Alonso, Secretary for Public Ethics, Transparency and Fight Against Corruption, Anti-Corruption Office.
