Master of Science positions are available in the Environmental Mineralogy and Chemistry group (http://nicolasperdrial.weebly.com/) at the University of Vermont (https://www.uvm.edu/cas/geology) for the fall of 2020. The positions are fully supported through teaching assistantship and include summer stipend. The students will work on one of several projects currently active in the group such as atomic scale weathering, tropical stream mineralogy, weathering of martian regolith or characterization of basal ice core minerals. All projects will involve intensive use of electron microscopy (SEM and HRTEM) and X-Ray analysis (XRD and XRF).
