The Environmental Studies department at Davidson College invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in Environmental Geochemistry or Environmental Biogeochemistry, beginning July 1, 2019. The ideal candidate will be able to teach lower-level courses in Environmental Geology and Environmental Science and as well as upper-level offerings in their specialty. Preference will be given to candidates working on issues related to pollution, climate, or geology-ecology interactions. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Environmental Science, Geochemistry, Earth Science, Geoscience, or a related field by July 2019, a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinarity, and a willingness to mentor undergraduate research projects. The teaching load is five courses over two semesters, including at least one lower-level course per year.
