The MCA welcomes Mike Henry’s appointment as the next Chief Executive Officer of BHP.

The MCA has worked closely with Mr Henry in his role as President Operations Minerals Australia and looks forward to continuing this relationship.

Mr Henry’s vast experience in resources, across many sectors, will serve him and the industry well as he steps into the new role next year.

The MCA will work with Mr Henry and BHP to ensure Australian mining continues to meet the highest levels of environmental, social and governance standards while creating jobs and giving back to the community.

Mr Henry has made a valuable contribution to the MCA as a Director, Vice Chair and Chair of Economic Reform Committee.

The MCA thanks outgoing CEO Andrew Mackenzie for his exceptional leadership and support of Australia’s minerals industry.
