The country operations business plan (COBP), 2018–2020 is consistent with the objectives of the new country partnership strategy for India, 2018–2022, which aims to support the government’s goal of faster, inclusive, and sustainable growth accompanied by rapid economic transformation and job creation.

About 20% of the proposed program in the COBP will contribute to boosting competitiveness and job creation; close to 84% will support inclusive access to infrastructure and services; and about 53% will help address climate change issues. The indicative program will reflect the five CPS principles through a holistic approach: a strong knowledge program, capacity development as an integral element, alignment with the government’s flagship initiatives, and special attention to low-income states.
