The “Foundations for Source-to-Sea Management” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), piloted the source-to-sea approach in the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River Basin, Viet Nam and the Lake Hawassa Sub-Basin, Ethiopia.

This brief shares practical learnings gained during the project to support implementation of source-to-sea projects in other contexts. This targets practitioners and others that wish to better understand how to effectively implement a source-to-sea project while building strongly on the six steps of the approach and its guiding practices.
