You’re invited to gain unique insight into sexual harassment in workplaces as Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins joins a panel of leading directors to discuss the Australian Human Rights Commission’s landmark [email protected] report.
The webinar explores in detail [email protected], the Australian Human Rights Commission’s report of the National Inquiry into Sexual Harassment in Australian Workplaces 2020.
The report was released in March 2020 by Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins, culminating the world-first 18-month National Inquiry examining the nature and prevalence of sexual harassment in Australian workplaces, the drivers of this harassment and measures to address and prevent it.
Through its 55 recommendations, the report proposes a new approach for government, employers and the community to better prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace.
This webinar (17 September) is a part of a targeted series the HRC is coordinating with different stakeholders to socialise the report and build momentum towards its implementation.
During this webinar our host and panel will:
- Outline the report’s findings and recommendations as they relate to boards
- Consider the board’s responsibility and accountability in preventing and managing workplace sexual harassment.
- Discuss ways in which boards can work to prevent sexual harassment
The panel will also consider the governance aspects of preventing and managing workplace sexual harassment.
