The Sydney's Customs House will show high-resolution earth observation (EO) imagery and videos from space, in an exhibition called Spaceship Earth: Observing Our Planet From Satellites from 23 May through 20 July.

The exhibition is being catalysed and curated by Davina Jackson, an Australian founder of the International Society for Digital Earth's digital cities working group. Chairing both the ISDE digital cities working group and this exhibition's international advisory panel is SIBA's Queensland CEO, Richard Simpson. Jackson and Simpson are co-editors of the world's first comprehensive manifesto (D_City Manifesto) explaining the global Earth observations movement to urban development professionals. The Spaceship Earth show will promote both the Digital Earth vision and the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) project, which is being co-ordinated by the intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO) in Geneva.

The show will include videos and high-resolution stills from GEO, the European Space Agency, NASA, NOAA, the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, Geoscience Australia, NSW Lands and Property Information, leading university research centres, international digital artists, and commercial providers DigitalGlobe and eoVision.
