WASHINGTON — AGU will host the 2022 Astrobiology Science Conference (#AbSciCon22) in Atlanta, Georgia, and online 15 – 20 May 2022.
Join us for more than 900 talks and posters presented in online-only, in-person-only and hybrid sessions on the study of life in the universe. Topics include exoplanet exploration, early life on Earth, looking for life on Mars, and ocean worlds near and far.

Media Registration
AGU Media Relations provides complimentary media registration to professional journalists and journalism students for the express purpose of gathering news and information to produce media coverage of the Astrobiology Science Conference. Press officers from universities, government agencies, and research institutions are also eligible for media registration to support media outreach for research being presented at #AbSciCon22.
Media registrants receive, at no charge, access to all scientific sessions and an on-site press room. Some events and activities, including but not limited to invitation-only events and communications workshops, are not open to press registrants.
Media access to the meeting is issued at the discretion of the AGU Media Relations Office and approval may take up to five business days.
Please visit the Media Registration page to learn more about eligibility and credentialing requirements. Media access is non-transferable. All registrants must provide credentials regardless of whether they have attended past Astrobiology Science Conferences.
A Press Room will be available at the meeting for media registrants to work and conduct interviews with attending scientists. Press events will be held online on to allow remote participation. Additional information, including the location and hours of the Press Room, and any press events, will be included in a future media advisory.

Hotel information
Members of the press can reserve discounted hotel rooms at the conference hotel, the Hilton Atlanta Downtown, through the AbSciCon 2022 Housing page. The Hilton Atlanta Downtown is at 225 Courtland Street in downtown Atlanta. Rooms start at $194 per night. Book a hotel room at the discounted rate through the #AbSciCon22 website before the Wednesday, 20 April 2022 deadline.
