UN 2023 Water Conference: Special Accreditation for Non-Governmental Organizations and Other Stakeholders

The United Nations Conference on the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the Objectives of the International Decade for Action, ‘Water for Sustainable Development’ 2018-2028 (the UN 2023 Water Conference) will be held from 22 to 24 March 2023, at the UN headquarters in New York.
The Conference, to be co-hosted by the Netherlands and Tajikistan, will be preceded by a one-day preparatory meeting, held by November 2022 also in New York, to finalize the themes of the interactive dialogues and other outstanding organizational matters of the Conference, with participation of all relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Participation
Organizations that fall under the following categories will be able to request registration for their representatives to attend the UN 2023 Water Conference and its preparatory meeting:
- Non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC (Special, General or Roster consultative status). You can check if your organization has consultative status here.
- Organizations that will receive special accreditation by the General Assembly to participate in the 2023 UN-Water Conference (please, read more about Special Accreditation process for the UN 2023 Water Conference below).
- Organizations that were accredited to the The World Summit on Sustainable Development.
